1. Information We Collect
When you use H250ME to browse, list, or inquire about rental properties, we collect the information you provide directly: your name, email address, phone number, property details, listing photos, and identity documents required for landlord verification.
We also collect information automatically when you visit: your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and interactions with listings. We use a device fingerprint to count unique property views without tracking you across sites.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To operate the marketplace: match tenants with landlords, route inquiries, and display listings.
- To verify landlord identity through the KYC onboarding process.
- To send transactional emails: verification links, password resets, inquiry notifications, and listing status updates.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and duplicate listings.
- To improve the platform through anonymized usage analytics.
3. Data Sharing
Your contact information is shared with a landlord only when you submit an inquiry on their listing. Landlords can choose whether to display their phone number publicly. Listing photos and property details are visible to all visitors.
We use third-party services to operate the platform: Cloudinary for image hosting, a transactional email provider for notifications, and a PostgreSQL database hosted on our infrastructure. We do not sell personal data to advertisers or data brokers.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Listings are archived after expiry but remain in our database for audit purposes. Identity documents submitted during KYC are encrypted at rest. You may request account deletion by contacting us at privacy@h250me.com. We will respond within 30 days as required by Rwandan data protection law.
5. Your Rights
Under Rwanda's Law No. 058/2021 relating to the protection of personal data and privacy, you have the right to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data. You may withdraw consent for non-essential processing at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@h250me.com.
